The Holidays at Walt Disney World Part 2

Welcome to Part two of our "Holidays at Walt Disney World" series!

If you missed out on Part 1, check it out here! We covered Holiday Offerings at Magic Kingdom and Epcot in that article. In Part 2, We will be covering Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom!
"Santa Gertie" at Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios

Our Journey begins at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which has become my new favorite place to visit during the holidays. Since the departure of Osborne Spectacle of Lights years ago, which made way for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Studios was lacking holiday entertainment up until last year! When entering and walking down Hollywood Blvd, you will see retro Hollywood Christmas and Disney themed décor such as this one!

If you know me, im a huge fan of the golden age of Hollywood so this décor is my absolute dream. They are also perfect for holiday themed photos! These were taken by my friend, Ryan, who's Instagram I've linked!

Take a look at some of the décor around the parks!

One of the new offerings takes place on Sunset Blvd and is called "Sunset Seasons Greetings!" It utilizes projection technology on The Tower of Terror attraction along with accompanying shows on the billboards and Christmas lights in sync with the music to create an amazing 15 minute continuous show. And yes, it will snow! This will run from Nov 8- Jan 5, 2020. Here is video of the full show below.

Another addition is Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! This is very popular and only shown nightly as a projection show with special effects, lasers, and festive holiday music on the Chinese theater. Plan to grab your spot about 30 mins prior. I enjoyed this immensely when it came out and would recommend not skipping it. There's also a dessert party for the show if you were interested! It's between $53-$59 for children and $89-$89 for adults and can be booked here or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

You can meet Santa Clause here but be prepared for a long wait especially closer to the actual holiday. He meets near the entrance to Beauty and the Beast Live on Sunset Blvd in the Once Upon a Time shop. A favorite returning from the Osborne lights is Santa Goofy! He will replace Santa in Once Upon a Time from Dec 24-31 since, well, Santa has to prepare for a special flight.  He can be found from Nov 8- Dec 23 across from Baseline on Grand Ave as well as the Jingle Bell Jingle BAM! dessert party and Minnie's Holiday Dine.

Toy Story Land gets  a holiday touch during this time too! There will be characters decked out in holiday clothing such as Woody with a holiday scarf at the entrance and Alien Swirling Saucers plays holiday music!

And of course you can meet your favorites from Toy Story decked in their holiday best! tip: Woody and Jessie tend to have the longer line than Buzz Lightyear!

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom is the latest of the Disney World parks to get some holiday additions and they do not disappoint at all! Everyone's favorite is the Merry Menagerie, A troupe of puppeteers and their adorable animal friends!

These sweet creatures can be found on the path to Discovery Island and have quickly become popular due to the accompanying musicians playing holiday favorites.

The rest of Discovery Island is decked out in white decorations as a holiday village and at night, the lights glow. The Tree of Life Awakenings will become holiday themed starting November 8th! A hidden favorite is a brand new Disney Wall!

Each area in Animal Kingdom will be fitted with holiday flair! Dinoland USA has a holiday party going on and the characters are all in the matching attire. This is the place to be to dance the night away! In Asia's Anandapur, it is decorated for the Diwali Festival! Diwali is known in India as the festival of lights and its represented in the theatre district with beautiful  flowers and glowing lanterns. Africa will blend western traditions with African culture through new holiday themed Harambe performances, costumes and music! And yes, even Pandora- World of Avatar is getting some holiday cheer on their planet.

There are so many wonderful new and returning things coming to Walt Disney World and I hope you can make time to check it out!
