With the end of an era, comes the dawn of a new beginning.
Last night, Illuminations had its last showing after its 20 year run. The longest for any nighttime spectacular at any Disney Park internationally.
We Go On, through the joy and through the tears 🌐💕 • Story time part 2! Back in November, my friends and I were able to dine with an Imagineer, and the imagineer happened to be the creator of Illuminations 🤯 • being able to pick his brain, hear about the creative process, learn that it was put together in just 90 days, worked on tirelessly, and had so much meaning to him, the crew, and the audience for 20 years was so cool to learn🎆 • he was blown away by its reception and how a show out together so quickly could have such a lasting impact. He said he had a model of the globe on his kitchen table for weeks trying to figure out how to work the logistics, and asking his family for input as he went, and when the globe received an update, he kept the old Hawaiian islands and framed them at his desk. Tonight, on Epcot's 37th birthday, will be the debut of the temporary nighttime spectacular "Epcot Forever." We discussed
sneak peeks of the show and a reminder that Disney Parks Blog will be doing a
livestream for it. This Morning they revealed some of the merchandise that is being sold for Epcot Forever. As always, it will feature exclusive passholder items. Take a look below and stay tuned for more merch reveals!
