Best Ice Cream Treats to Try at Disney World

In honor of National Sundae Day, I am super excited to share some of the best ice cream treats on property!

Let's start with the mot infamous, The Kitchen Sink!

This monstrous ice cream treat is served at Beaches and Cream at Disney's Beach Resort. At $34 and serving 4 people, you would think this would be a cheap way to get your sweet tooth satisfied. I tried it with 3 other friends and couldn't finish it. It has scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip and its smothered with every topping available. They do a special announcement every time one is being served!

If this is WAAAAY too much, they have a smaller option in a plastic kitchen sink available called the Mickey Kitchen Sink that can be found at this location as well as the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom.

Ahead of the Release of Frozen 2, Disney World has introduced new Frozen themed treats! You can dig into the Olaf Ice Cream Slushy, a vanilla soft serve on top of a blue raspberry slush with olaf chocolate pieces and chocolate chip buttons! This can be found in Disney Springs!

You can always keep it simple and get a classic Dole Whip from Aloha Isle Refreshments in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom or at Disney's Polynesian Resort. My go to favorite is always the Doel Whip Float but this is a staple treat of the Disney Parks and cannot be missed. Now they serve raspberry floats and you can even get them in a souvenir tiki bowl.

This next one isn't very well known and its one of my absolute favorites when I am visiting Epcot. In France Pavilion at L' Artisan Des Glaces, is the Ice Cream Martini. Yes you read that right! Two scoops of ice cream or sorbet served in a martini glass topped with a shot of your choice of alcohol: Gran Marnier, Whipped Cream Vodka or Rum! If you know me, you know it's rum always for me. The alcohol is overpowering either so it's a super yummy adult treat!

We go to The Boardwalk and visit Ample Hills Creamery! This is the first location outside of NYC and there is a wide variety of flavors to choose from! My personal favorites are Sweet as Honey, a sweet cream with honeycomb candy made in house, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, a creamy vanilla cream made with cream cheese and tons of St. Louis style ooey gooey butter cake and The Munchies, pretzel infused ice cream with crackers, chips, pretzels and crushed chocolate candy! You can always get some old fashioned stuff as well if you aren't too adventurous.

Traveling back to Magic Kingdom, you simply MUST try the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square! Be sure to grab spoons because this scoop of vanilla smashed between two churro rounds melts fast and needs to be gobbled up!

Let's head back to epcot and check out another little known treat in Italy Pavilion, The Gelato Ice Cream Sandwich! Your choice of gelato between two yummy cookies!

A popular favorite at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom is the Peter Pan Float and a new addition is the Arendelle Aqua Cone. The Peter Pan float is a dole whip with sprite served with a chocolate feather while the Aqua cone is cotton candy soft serve, cotton candy sprinkles and a mickey sugar cube.
